FORMER DEPUTY CM ACTOR MP PRAKASH PASSES AWAY

Yesterday it was Gudigeri Basavaraj the tiger on stage and film actor and today it is MP Prakash former deputy chief minister and actor of three Kannada films passed away.
Both have left for heavenly abode due to cancer decease. MP Prakash became the minister during the Ramakrishna Hegde cabinet was highly knowledgeable on Kannada and culture. He was actor on stage. The 71 years gentleman MP Prakash acted in ‘Avasthe’ of Krishna Masadi, ‘Kadina Benki’ of Ashok Pai and made guest appearance in one more film.
Prakash was elected to Assembly for four times from Hadagalli in Bellary district. He is survived by wife, a son and three daughters.
In the film ‘Avasthe’ a much talked about film because of contents and also because of the cast in it. Former chief Minister JH Patel, DB Chandre Gowda, BK Chandrasekhar all politicians acted in the film in which versatile Ananthnag was in the lead role.
S.Ramachandra (who passed away recently) was the cameraman and Vijaya Bhasker was the music director of ‘Avasthe’.
The film ‘Avasthe’ (Predicament) was based on the story of Jnanapeeth award winner Dr UR Ananthamurthy was inspired from Kadagu Satyagraha. The film crated controversy in the family circles when it was released in 1987.
